Recreation Services
The Recreation Services Department is involved in the planning, development and organisation of sport and recreation facilities within the Shire of Broome. It works with user groups to provide and maintain those facilities that will best fulfil the community's needs and interests.
The Shire of Broome's Sport and Recreation Club Development Officer (CDO) is employed to help sporting organisations remain sustainable. Through regular communication the CDO can assist clubs and associations with governance and grant funding, and provide information and opportunities for our sports volunteers to develop and learn.
The state-wide Club Development Officers' Scheme is an initiative of the WA Department of Sport and Recreation and has been implemented in partnership with the Shire of Broome.
